Solidarity
I started keeping track around the 12th email: “Solidarity!” “Black Lives Matter!” “We hear you. We stand with you.”
I’m still not watching/reading the news but these emails from every company that I’ve ever done business with let me know how much the world is changing.
It feels commodified…like a PR checklist item (blame my skepticism on years of working in corporate communications.)
However, if all this corporate emailing leads to awareness and progress, then I’ll move past how icky it feels and quickly get behind it.
I imagine the alternative is silence and that hasn’t done enough for change.
And it is time for things to change.
