DoorDash Is A Pretty Accurate Name

I watched the miniature car tick slowly and steadily toward my apartment on the tracking map. As it inched closer, I headed downstairs to grab my order. After a few minutes, I still didn’t see the car so I checked the site again and saw that the DoorDash driver marked the order as delivered.

Outrage!

Clearly I didn’t have my food and I know that an attempt wasn’t even made. After contacting DoorDash, I was presented with two options: 1) they could place a new order and redeliver 2) they could refund me the amount.

As you can imagine, when you’re hungry, neither of these options sounds ideal. It feels like: 1) wait another hour before eating 2) don’t eat.

I’ve heard about delivery food drivers from UberEats and DoorDash eating the food that they picked up (and that’s pretty wild), but I didn’t realize that they could just dash off with your food completely. What in the what?!?

I checked out DoorDash because of the new Chase Sapphire credit, but I just can’t take this chance again. The driver came to my door and dashed. Talk about an accurate name.
