I woke up early on Saturday morning…did some work..watched a movie…and stayed determined not to go to any festivities for Howard Homecoming. Don’t get me wrong, I love my alma mater, but sometimes Homecoming overwhelms me (It’s that whole crowds thing). After some prodding from my friends, I decided to go. And I’m glad I did.

It was great to be able to see people and catch up without the confines of Facebook. One of the other great things is that I picked up a photography referral and talked to a few people that were interested in Studio No.7. I always have to remind myself that getting out of the house and just connecting with people is the best way to network. We spend so much time connecting with people through social media, that it’s easy to forget how effective in-person conversations are. Remember to get out and just talk to people without expecting anything for doing so. That’s all networking is.

In other news, I was going to post a photo or two from homecoming when I came across this series of three images. Hilare to me.
