I ran across this article on Yahoo from Forbes on the world’s greatest cities. It’s no surprise to me to see a city from Brazil as number 1. Brazilians are very serious about tranquility and happiness. Here are the rest of the top 5:

Interesting that Brazil is number one. To me, when I see pictures of Brazil, it always looks so…..chaotic but obviously I am dead wrong.

That’s the beautiful thing about Brazil. It’s not that it’s chaotic, it’s just really free. Anything goes, but it’s not as weird as it might seem.

Absolutely the right winner! Any city by the coast of Brazil could have won! With that people, you just can’t be unhappy! Barcelona is a nice place as well but Rio is Rio! =)

not surprised that australia is on the list twice! that’s one of few places i’ve visited internationally (so far), and the people and landscapes just breed happy feelings. can’t wait to make it to brazil.
