I’m Not A Backpacker

It’s just not the way that I like to travel. Sleeping in very meh conditions and carrying a big bag on my back is just not my idea of a good time. I would rather stay somewhere as nice as I can afford and as private as possible. This is why I generally rent apartments. However, I now have a requirement for the apartments that I will stay in for my travels: They must be next to hostel.

The apartment I’m staying in while I’m in is less than a block away from the Che Lagarto hostel. And what a win that it is. The set up couldn’t possibly be more perfect and here’s why. The best thing about traveling is meeting new people. Sometimes that’s a bit difficult when traveling alone or in a small group. With a hostel nearby, I can stop in and see what events are happening, meet some new people and on this trip, use the wifi. I get all the benefits of the hostel, but also the privacy that I need by having my own place.

(I’m currently in the hostel writing this and LOSING because of all the smoking going on. Hence, why I have my own apartment. )
